What is Osteopathy? Osteopathy is a system of health care that looks at the relationship between the body's physical structure (bones, ligaments, muscles and organs) and its impact on its physiological processes. It sees that the body's physical structure and how it functions are inextricably linked. Osteopaths diagnose mechanical imbalances within or between physical structures and use their hands to correct them. The manipulative techniques that are used help to restore balance to the musculoskeletal system, including the blood and nervous systems that integrate the normal functions of the body. This is how Osteopathy can decrease pain and improve a person's general health. Click here for more information |
